Community Education
Your proposed project may benefit from the public understanding what your project entails. We assist you to identify public concerns through surveys, focus groups and community leader forums, then address those concerns in workshops and other public informational campaigns.
Environmental Education
We assist you to identify learning and behavioral objectives and the appropriate methods to attain them. We can, design and develop curriculum, align activities to state learning objectives, conduct staff training, and review and evaluate existing programs of schools, nature centers, and residential environmental education schools (aka Science Camps). We can also design effective conservation campaigns for government agencies and educate a business’s employees about green sustainability practices good for the planet, and for the bottom line. Key benefits to having assistance with your environmental education needs are:
- The planning process helps determine priorities, frame decisions, and focus efforts.
- The planning process helps to de-personalize decisions and seeks input and “buy-in” from stakeholders such as employees and managers, the school community, and other interested parties such as governmental agencies and community organizations.
- Access to experts who have experience outside your site, but within your sphere of activity. We’ll bring experience and outside perspective to your situation.
- Access to up-to-date knowledge, curricular information and techniques for your programs. There’s likely published curriculum and programs, and probably even an app that applies to your educational needs.
- Review and evaluation of environmental education curriculum and programs for children based on California’s Science Content Standards and the Environmental Principles and Concepts.
